European frog-bit (EFB) is a free-floating invasive aquatic plant that grows in dense, entangled mats which choke out native plants and animals. Not only are these large monocultures harmful to native flora and fauna, but they also have the potential to clog navigation and irrigation channels hindering human recreation and commercial activities. Early detection and management is crucial to mitigate EFB impacts. Keep your eye out for it while you’re out on the water and report it if you suspect you’ve found it.
